I love this painting!
I did a visual artist course with ON painter Kathleen Schmalz. I bought one of her paintings from a series of clothes drying on an outside line. The clothes blowing in the wind reminded me of the sails of my Hunter 25 as they catch the wind. I created my series of sails. This was the first in the series. I started it on the boat much to the anger of my sailing mate. It was then completed in studio. The sheets and straight lines provided a much needed challenge for me.
